SGS has been doing business in the United States since 1919. In 1980, SGS North America was incorporated in the State of Delaware. With over 3,350 expert employees, we are now registered to do business in all 50 states.
In 2019, TEC Services joined SGS, forming SGS TEC. For more than 15 years, the company had operated as a full-service construction materials testing laboratory and engineering firm based in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Today, SGS TEC combines the responsiveness of a specialized laboratory with the strength of a global network, delivering the expertise, technical resources, and support needed for projects of every scale.

SGS TEC operates an ISO/IEC 17025 and AASHTO-accredited construction materials testing laboratory.
Our quality systems, testing procedures, equipment, and technical personnel are regularly evaluated to help ensure accurate, consistent, and traceable results. We perform testing in accordance with recognized standards, including ASTM, AASHTO, ACI, CSA, DOT and other industry-specific requirements.
